" I undertook the course on "Forces underlying biomembranes". The course was extremely satisfying where the objective of finding differential force profiles for different lipid types was met. Upon construction of various biomembranes, we explored the stress profile for the constituent lipids. The work paves the way for future research on force recognition by proteins in order to target specific biomembranes and the protein-membrane interactions. The results from this project are being prepared now for publication. I would like to thank every single one at HITS and Heidelberg for making this a very successful endeavour and personal gratitude towards Dr. Frauke and Dr. Lipi for giving me this opportunity. "

" The opportunity to work with such a diverse group of people has been invaluable.Working at Heidelberg is like being with family; it doesn’t ever feel like ‘work’. "
